rezora's Q2 Feature Enhancements and Updates

In Q2, we focused many of our enhancements on GDPR compliance within the rezora application – including new functionality for both sales agents and recipients (contacts within the rezora system) to view, export, and delete their personal information if they choose to do so. In addition to a multitude of GDPR-related items, we’re also releasing the much-anticipated Master Distribution List for Company Admins. Continue reading to see how these features work!

GDPR Compliance and Adherence

Please see our blog post for more information related to GDPRIn this article, we’re going to focus on what rezora is doing specifically to ensure that all of our users (whether it be an admin, an agent, or an end recipient of marketing efforts) are compliant under the new regulations.

One of the biggest new regulations to come out of GDPR is the protection of any personal information. At rezora, we’re serious about not only complying with this new regulation, but also embracing it and ensuring that the experience of users at any level is seamless.

Ability for Agents to View (and delete) their Personal Information

You will now see a new interface within an agent’s account profile to export all personal information we have stored on them so that it is clear what we are using. Not only is this GDPR compliant, we feel that agents should be empowered as contracted employees to know what information a vendor is storing on them (and for what purpose they are using it for).

Ability for Agent’s Contacts to View Their Personal Information

Similar to the agent’s ability to view personal information, we are also giving this ability to contacts to view any data that rezora stores as a result of marketing communications coming from the platform. This link is shown at the bottom of an email and allows agents to view their personal data and delete it if they choose so. Please keep in mind that this does not remove any metrics on past email sends, but rather just the personal information (name, email address, etc.) that may be stored for communication purposes.

Providing a Reminder Note to Agents Upon Contact Import

In addition to protecting personal information, GDPR also requires that contacts that are to be marketed to were obtained in a manner where the recipient knew exactly what the purpose of communication would be. We have implemented a note, upon agents importing contacts, that reminds agents of these regulations and ensures that the contacts were obtained in a way that is in compliance with GDPR regulations.

Master Distribution List

From a high-level, this feature allows admins (brand, group, or company levels) to share distribution lists of contacts to sales agents in order to give them the ability to market to these contacts. This has been a highly requested feature from our admin-level users and we’re excited to roll it out in this release. This could be used for a variety of marketing efforts, including the promotion of a brokerage or brand to other agents in the area, promotion of an event that the brokerage is putting on, or for communication to a targeted group of contacts obtained by marketing teams themselves.

It takes three steps to set up a Master Distribution List:

  1. Upload a list of contacts within the admin interface
  2. Share this list to sales agents wishing to use the list of contacts
  3. View and choose a Master Distribution List from within a sales agent account to send communications to

Once the list is Accepted it will appear in the list of contacts, sales agents can then market to those individuals as with their own personal contacts.

Keep in mind that these lists are unable to be edited, downloaded or deleted from the sales agent interface.
