rezora is announcing that we will no longer support V1 templates as of May 1st, 2017.

What does this mean?

If you've been with rezora for a few years, you likely have some "V1" templates in your account. A V1 template refers to any template that was created outside of the Template Builder in your admin account. We are announcing that beginning on May 1st, 2017, we will no longer support these V1 templates, which means that we will not make any edits, or fix reported issues with a template that was created previous to the release of the Template Builder. You will still have access to these templates--they are not going anywhere, and agents will still be able to use any V1 template that you've given them access to.

Why are we doing this?

It extremely important to us at rezora to best serve our clients; One area where we continue to devote focus towards is ensuring that – by using rezora – you are following best practices for email marketing. As we leave V1 templates behind, and work to create all templates with the template builder moving forward, you can rest easy knowing that all your templates will be reliably formatted and coded in a way that will display at the highest level of quality across all platforms and devices.

The old way of creating templates, before the release of the template builder, was a very manual task that took a good chunk of time away from our engineering team. Some additional intent of releasing this template builder was to both allow you as marketers to create great looking templates without having to order them through us; as well as freeing up time for our engineering team to focus on creating new features and enhancements for the rezora system.

As we've continued to fine tune and improve the template builder, we believe it is now in a place to facilitate all template designs and formats; nullifying the need to create templates "the old way". As such, we are now discontinuing support for old V1 templates as we have an all-inclusive replacement, with many benefits that outpace the old method. These benefits include—

  • More consistent results by ensuring your template follows best practices for email design.
  • Faster turnaround time on template orders and edits. We have a dedicated team that devotes their time to fulfilling these, rather than needing to split the time of our engineering team.
  • The ability to easily edit templates from your admin account. With past V1 templates, you would need to submit an edit through the rezora team to do this. You can still request edits in the same way; though now, you can edit these entirely from your own admin account. This means less wait time, and it's completely free if you do so yourself.
  • The ability to Copy and re-use assets in any template that you create or order from us.

What do I need to do?

Ultimately, you need to do nothing. New templates you've ordered or created yourself for the past year are already in a V2 format, so nothing is changing with these. Up until May 1st, if you would like to edit any existing V1 templates, please submit an order through your admin account and we’ll be happy to work with you to complete this. We will re-create the template as a V2 and make the edit (but only charge for the edit). This way, if you want to make an edit in the future, you can come through us again - or simply hop in the template and make the edit yourself.

After May 1st, the pricing will change slightly. Recreating the template as a V2 will run at a cost of $99, plus the hourly rate for any edits requested.
